Job Description The Las Piedras Feeders Plant located in Puerto Rico has an opening for a Manufacturing Supervisor. Primary functions include:
Supervise, direct and coordinate production activities with employees in order to achieve efficiently internal and external customer service expectations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Limit yourself to 8-12 statements)
2. List the essential functions (i.e. key responsibilities with expected end results) which must be accomplished in order to fulfill the purpose of your position as described above.
A. Selects manufacturing employees and trains them, monitoring and evaluate their progress and performance.
B. Attains monthly production schedule requirements, complying with Eaton Safety Process (ESP) and good housekeeping practices (5S).
C. Maintains and distributes daily production reports.
D. Maintains Certification: EBE, ISO 14001, 9002.
E. Interpret, apply and assist employees in use of the MIL’s (Manufacturing Instruction Leaflet).
F. Interpret, apply an implement company policies, guidelines and procedures in order to support ISO requirements, and work and performance issues.
G. Maintain a high level of efficiency and motivation within the employees.
H. Provide employees with necessary operations supplies to accomplished daily production requirements.
I. Monitor employee attendance / absenteeism and take appropriate action according to company policies.
J. Plan hourly employees vacation schedule minimizing impact on production operation.
K. Recommended changes to improved working conditions, production process / methods, equipments / machines performance to increase efficiency.
L. Participate in departmental and cost saving team meetings when required.
M. Make necessary adjustment in work procedures, labor force to meet production schedule.
N. Analyze and resolve employee grievances and assist workers in solving work problems.
O. Planning and prepare the daily program of production and machines.
P. Comply with Fill Rate and On Time Performance objectives on 98%.
Q. Comply with the Load Plan to avoid back orders.
R. Prepare and report to Human Resources Office, any personnel change or movements like: department or shift changes, promotions, etc.
S. Responsible to learn, understand and show commitment to the Eaton Safety Process (ESP) and Voluntary Protection Program (VPP), complying with all the goals and objectives established in the annual ESP Goals Matrix by Title-Function.
T. Other functions as assigned.
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements) • Bachelor’s Degree
• Bilingual, speak and write Spanish and English
• Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment or comparable experience•
